Dr. Katarzyna Siudzińska's PhD thesis "Evolution of open quantum systems governed by unitarily covariant quantum channels" was distinguished in the National Quantum Information Center (KCIK) Silver Award for the best PhD thesis on quantum information defended in 2019.
Recipients of the awards were invited to present their results during the online symposium "Current trends in Quantum Information" that took place on May 15th (https://kcik.ug.edu.pl/post.php?id=2307). The thesis's advisor was Prof. Dariusz Chruściński, and it describes the evolution of open quantum systems with the use of advanced methods in mathematical physics. It was defended in 2019 on the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics of the NCU.
